Assembling, running-in compounds
Assembly and running-in are two crucial phases in the production of machinery and equipment: during assembly, some parts may present interference, assembly and running-in lubricants facilitate the insertion of parts and prevent damage during assembly. During the running-in period, they help protect moving parts and reduce friction and heat. Assembly and running-in pastes are used wherever oils and greases are removed from the contact points to be lubricated thanks to the solid lubricants they contain, forming an adherent film that prevents wear under extreme loads and low speeds: assembly of threaded connections, splined shafts, flange gaskets, assembly of bearings or mechanical parts that are rarely removed, running-in of gearboxes, spindles and threaded shafts, toothed gears, screws, valves, pumps, guides, etc.
